I have been a licensed professional engineer since 2023. My road to licensing was rather an interesting one. I completed my Bachelor of Engineering in Computer Engineering Degree from the University of Technology in Baghdad, Iraq.

I then acquired my PhD from the University of Windsor, which helped me fulfill the requirements for professional engineers and kick-start my career in Windsor, an automotive engineering hub in Canada.

Unfortunately, the professional engineering examination was also undergoing major changes and transition to the National Professional Practice Examination (NPPE). Therefore, I had to study twice for the exams; finally, I successfully gained my license, which helped me land my first engineering job in Canada.
