Hoda Mosadegh
My passion for art began in childhood, sculpting clay and sketching the world around me. A trip to Isfahan, where I was captivated by the architectural brilliance of Ali Qapu, inspired me to pursue a career in architecture. Two years later, I was admitted to Iran’s top university, where I earned both my B. Arch and M. Arch degrees.
Upon acquiring my architect license in Alberta, Canada, I focused on enhancing the urban environment in Alberta and Canada, gaining over a decade of experience working on significant projects with IBI, DIALOG, and START Architecture. As a lifelong learner, I earned my LEED Green Associate certificate in 2018 and am expanding my expertise in environmental and sustainable design.
Committed to professional growth, I am passionate about mentoring others. I’ve taught at a school of architecture, guided intern architects, supported foreign-trained architects, and currently teach part-time at NAIT’s architectural technology program. As a mentor, I can offer advice on the following:
✅ Architect licensing pathways, and provincial requirements
✅ CACB academic certification success strategies
✅ The Broadly Experienced Foreign Architect (BEFA) Program option, and interview preparation
✅ Optimizing internship hours to meet the Internship in Architecture Program (IAP) requirements
✅ Licensing exam preparation and resources
✅ Architect career options and job search
✅ Architect portfolio and resume preparation
